The back side of the dust jacket has the inscription, "Book One in the Article Series." Except for the copyright and title pages, dedication to Polybius, and the epigraph ("When a thing is funny, search it for a hidden truth." - George Bernard Shaw), the only word in this book is "the" arranged in sentences forming paragraphs.

Of course I'd be prejudiced because I hold the copyright for this book, but I must say that Chavid (the ch pronounced like challa, the bread) Dadwick (pronounced like dodwick) has crafted a most intriguing series of pages here. As Dadwick is so shy, I agreed to contact a publisher for him after carefully reading each the. As he says in the book, "The the the the the the the the the." What more can I add except to say it's a pleasure to have this short book on my living room table to delight and amuse my friends.
